Falah ("the app", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles your data.
What we use
- Location (approximate and precise): used to calculate prayer times, point the Qibla, and find nearby mosques. To provide these, your coordinates are sent to third-party services — Aladhan (api.aladhan.com) for prayer times and OpenStreetMap / Overpass (overpass-api.de) for nearby mosques. We run no servers of our own and do not store your location. You may instead pick a city manually and skip location entirely.
- Advertising ID: the app shows ads via Google AdMob, which uses the Advertising ID to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud (policies.google.com/technologies/ads). In the EEA/UK we ask for your consent first via Google's consent tool. Ads are removed for Falah Plus subscribers.
- Purchases: subscriptions and tips are processed by Google Play Billing. We receive purchase status (e.g., an active subscription) to unlock features; we do not receive your payment card details.
- No account or login is required. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or files.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Your location is shared only with Aladhan and OpenStreetMap / Overpass to provide prayer times and mosque search; advertising and purchase data are handled by Google (AdMob, Google Play) under Google's privacy policy.
Data storage
App preferences, bookmarks, reading progress, and cached prayer times/audio are stored locally on your device. You can clear them anytime in Menu → Data, or uninstall the app.
Children
Falah is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13.
Your choices
You can grant, deny, or revoke location access, pick a city manually, reset ad personalisation or change your ad-consent choice in your device settings, or uninstall the app to remove local data.
